The West Concord Historical Society & Community Center is located in the City’s former schoolhouse and offers a unique setting filled with local history and community pride. The museum features ten display rooms of historical memorabilia and is housed in the original school building constructed in 1902.
The Community Center is located in an addition built in 1936 as part of the Works Progress Administration (WPA). This space includes an auditorium and additional classroom areas that can be used for meetings, gatherings, and community activities.
The gym is also available and is frequently used for a variety of events such as craft fairs, receptions, celebrations, and many youth activities.
On January 19, 2021, the West Concord High School was officially added to the National Register of Historic Places. Take a walk through West Concord’s rich history—from its beginnings as a bustling railroad town to the community it is today.
